At Computex, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praised Marvell Technology as the “next trillion dollar company,” highlighting their strategic partnership and Marvell’s advanced AI-driven networking semiconductors as key growth drivers, which led to a significant surge in Marvell’s stock price. Additionally, Nvidia unveiled its RTX Spark chip, a fully integrated AI processor for Windows devices based on Arm architecture, marking its entry into consumer AI chips and reinforcing its commitment to advancing AI technology alongside partners like Marvell.
At the Computex trade show in Taipei, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made a bold statement by calling Marvell Technology the “next trillion dollar company.” This declaration came during a keynote speech where Marvell CEO Matt Murphy invited Huang on stage to discuss their strategic partnership announced earlier in March. Huang’s unsolicited endorsement sparked excitement, with Murphy enthusiastically responding, “Let’s do it together,” signaling strong collaboration between the two semiconductor giants.
Huang emphasized the significance of emerging AI technologies, particularly useful AI and artificial intelligence agents, highlighting Marvell’s advanced networking semiconductors as a key factor in their growth potential. He reiterated his belief that these innovations would propel Marvell to reach a trillion-dollar valuation. Murphy acknowledged that while there was still work to be done, the company was firmly on the path toward achieving this ambitious milestone.
Following Huang’s remarks, Marvell’s stock price surged dramatically, rising more than 25% in pre-market trading on Tuesday. The company has experienced substantial growth this year, with its stock price increasing over 158% since January. Marvell’s market capitalization surpassed $100 billion for the first time in December 2024, and its shares closed at $191.96 on Monday, reflecting strong investor confidence fueled by the partnership and Huang’s endorsement.
In a related development at Computex, Huang also appeared on stage with Rene Haas, CEO of semiconductor giant Arm Holdings. This appearance coincided with Nvidia’s announcement of its first fully integrated chip designed for Windows laptops and desktops, called the RTX Spark. This new chip, based on Arm’s CPU architecture, is capable of running personal AI agents and represents Nvidia’s initial foray into fully integrated consumer chips, blending AI capabilities with gaming and productivity software.
The RTX Spark chip is a streamlined version of the processors used in Nvidia’s AI supercomputers, designed to deliver powerful local AI performance alongside popular applications on Microsoft Windows. This innovation underscores Nvidia’s commitment to advancing AI technology across consumer devices, complementing its strategic partnership with Marvell and reinforcing the optimistic outlook for both companies in the semiconductor and AI markets.
