Project G-Assist | AI Assistant For Your GeForce RTX PC - Available Now

NVIDIA introduced Project G-Assist at Computex, an AI-powered assistant for GeForce RTX PCs that allows users to interact with their systems through voice or text commands, providing information on hardware, software, and performance monitoring. Now available as an experimental feature in the NVIDIA App, G-Assist can control hardware settings, customize peripheral lighting, and offer insights to optimize gaming experiences.

At Computex, NVIDIA introduced Project G-Assist, a tech demo showcasing the potential of AI in gaming assistance. The company announced that the System Assistant feature is now available as an experimental release in the NVIDIA App. Powered by GeForce RTX GPUs, G-Assist allows users to interact with their PCs using simple voice or text commands, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

G-Assist is designed to answer a variety of questions related to hardware and software. Users can type or speak commands to inquire about system details, such as asking how DLSS Frame Generation works or checking if their drivers are up to date. The assistant utilizes a small language model that operates locally and can access NVIDIA’s APIs as well as those from third-party companies like Corsair, Logitech, MSI, and Nanoleaf, enabling seamless integration with various peripherals.

The assistant can also control hardware settings, such as adjusting room lighting or fan speeds. For instance, users can command G-Assist to change their room lights to a specific color or set their PC fans to quiet mode. Additionally, it can customize peripheral lighting, allowing users to personalize their gaming setup further by changing keyboard colors or optimizing settings based on hardware specifications.

While gaming, G-Assist provides real-time monitoring and benchmarking of system performance. Users can request performance graphs for CPU and GPU utilization, track FPS, temperatures, and power draw, and even export this data to a CSV file. The assistant can also capture gameplay and analyze performance, offering insights on how to optimize the gaming experience, such as improving frame rates and responsiveness.

Overall, G-Assist aims to simplify the interaction and configuration of gaming PCs, making it easier for users to manage their systems. With its experimental release now available in the NVIDIA App, NVIDIA encourages GeForce players to try out G-Assist and contribute to its development, shaping the future of AI-assisted gaming.
