The Worst Group on YouTube - UTTP

The video chronicles the rise and dark evolution of the YouTube Troll Police (UTTP), a group that began as harmless trolling but escalated into dangerous harassment, hacking, and illegal activities under various leaders, leading to law enforcement intervention. Despite crackdowns and internal fractures, the UTTP’s harmful influence persists online, prompting an active community to expose and combat their behavior while urging viewers to avoid engaging with them.

The video explores the dark history and evolution of the YouTube Troll Police (UTTP), a group that started as a relatively harmless trolling community but gradually devolved into one of the most disturbing and dangerous groups on YouTube. The UTTP originated in 2011 when Tommy Park began targeting YouTuber Glenn Watson, also known as All Babies Are Atheists, with harassment and doxing that extended to Watson’s family. This intense and personal trolling led to Watson deleting his channel, and Tommy subsequently created the first UTTP accounts, adopting a cartoon cop avatar from the 1970 film The Phantom Toll Booth as their symbol.

Tommy Park was no stranger to trolling, with records of his disruptive behavior dating back to 2009. However, his actions escalated significantly with Glenn Watson, involving serious harassment and doxing. In 2014, Tommy’s criminal behavior extended beyond online trolling when he assaulted his brother, resulting in a 10-month prison sentence. This incarceration left the UTTP without its original leader, causing the group to fade somewhat between 2015 and 2020. During this period, Steven Larson took over leadership, focusing on trolling fandoms on Google Plus, though much of this era remains unarchived.

The UTTP saw a resurgence in 2020 under the leadership of Surebase 12, who initiated “Operation Gotcha Fall,” hacking YouTube channels within the Gotcha community. These hacks involved deleting videos and posting messages claiming the channels had been compromised by the UTTP. The group’s activities became more malicious and widespread, eventually fracturing into subgroups. The most notorious leader during this time was known as Emperor Anime Sucks, who allegedly coerced minors into self-harm and facilitated the sharing of illegal content, including disturbing videos and private information, within the group’s Discord server.

As the UTTP’s behavior worsened, their comment spamming under popular YouTube videos increased, often posting disturbing and provocative messages to attract attention and recruit new members. This led to growing public awareness and condemnation of the group, with some YouTubers speaking out against their harmful actions. Eventually, law enforcement began investigating members of the UTTP, leading to arrests and the deletion of their Discord server. Despite this crackdown, some members dispersed into other troubling online communities, such as the 764 cult, which has been classified as a terror network by the FBI.

The video concludes by emphasizing that not all individuals involved with the UTTP are criminals; some are young and naive participants unaware of the group’s darker activities. There is an active anti-UTTP community dedicated to exposing and combating the group’s harmful behavior. Viewers are encouraged to report UTTP accounts rather than engage with them, as responding only fuels their trolling. While the UTTP is currently fractured and under pressure from law enforcement, the video warns that the group’s history suggests it may not be the end of their disturbing presence online.
